This graphic illustrates the cycle of Conditioned Conflict. Through Social Conditioning, we learn the patterns of beliefs and values that we believe to be true that become our default ways of seeing and reacting to the world. This, in modern terms is called “Auto-Pilot thinking.
This is broken down into several steps. From the right, we learn these patterns through our family, religion, advertising, peers, etc.. We typically carry these beliefs into our adult lives, attempting to get our needs met through them. They are self reinforcing beliefs. Even though they often do not work, we continue using these beliefs until we learn new patterns that are healthier.
